9. Twist Dance
The dance form called ‘touch’, which was popular before the ’60s, and famous for the couples touching each other has been replaced by the ‘twist’, which is hated by adults and loved by young people, creating a debate over whether it is dance or gymnastics since the beginning of the 60s. The ‘twist’ dance led by Chubby Checker was inspired by the movements performed while drying with a towel after the bath.
