8. Swing Dance
Swing began to develop towards the end of the 1920s and continued its influence until the mid-40s. The musicians of this period added a sense of comfort and a not-very-tight rhythm to their music and used the eighth note pattern. All these are important elements that characterize the feeling of swing.
Since most of the works of the period were performed by orchestras, the swing period can also be considered as the “golden age” of jazz orchestras. Due to its rhythmic structure, this music attracted the attention of many people who love dance and aroused great excitement.
