35. The Great Blue Hole, Belize
The Great Blue Hole is a large underwater sinkhole or sea hole off the coast of Belize, Central America. It is located in the center of the Lighthouse Reef, 70 km from Belize City. The hole is circular in shape, with a diameter of 300 meters and a depth of 124 meters.
The Great Blue Hole is considered the best diving spot on the planet. In 1971, his name was announced to the whole world by the famous scientist Jaques Yves Cousteau.
