In the 1980s we lost many of the original punk dancers, and with them the traces of punking and waacking began to disappear. In 2003, professional dancer Brian ”Footwork” Green realized this shortcoming and tried to bring Waacking dance back to the field.
The “Waack” movement is actually a blow with the arm and was inspired by the Batman cartoon.You can see better by watching.
In addition to this movement, movements such as Posing, Footwork and Hairbrush are also at the heart of Waacking. The main purpose of this dance is for the dancers to express themselves as they are and as they want, and to tell their own stories.
