3.Waacking Dance

In fact, the Waacking dance emerged from the dance called “punking” in Los Angeles in the 1970s. This dance was formed in the past by gay dancers expressing themselves in nightclubs with funk music. A DJ playing music in clubs used the term punk or punking to joke with men who danced in that style, thus coining the name “punking”. Punking is essentially like acting and therefore has evolved from silent films, musicals and Looney Tunes characters.

Original punk Arthur Goff introduced punking and waacking to the world by appearing on the TV show Tinker Toy and Andrew Frank Soul Train. Soul Train dancer Tyrone Procter moved to New York City and joined the “Breed of motion” team, which influenced Waacking dance in NYC and Japan.
